The Rundown: In a world filled with powerful entities, the crew of Theseus discover new threats and strange prophecies.
Sisko finds himself confronted by his mother about his refusal to return to the celestial temple. A refusal she reveals will lead to disaster. At the same time, Beverly finds herself face to face with her son Wesley who reveals some interesting information while also leaving her with an ominous message.
As the other members of the crew continue their attempts to convince the entities to aid them in their mission, Sato continues her clandestine mission for Section 31. A mission that will lead to a confrontation with her friend and the reveal of a dangerous and familiar threat.
The Story: Kelly and Lanzing deliver some fantastic emotional and thematic threads in this issue. This arc is challenging in some fun ways for fans of Star Trek and every moment creates some new and interesting drama for the characters and the reader. The story is dense and delightfully complicated both in its interpersonal conflict and the bigger narrative being crafted for the characters and their world. I like seeing Sisko challenge the prophets and hope to see that challenge deliver some answers.
The Art: Levens delivers fantastic art throughout the issue. I really enjoy the visual style and how the art delivers beautiful looks at the galaxy.
