The Rundown: Sisko and his crew go hunting for the missing gods using an experimental warp drive.
Sisko and the Theseus return to Utopia Planitia to begin work on an experimental drive that T’Lir assures them will take the ship far beyond the galactic barrier to find the entities that could possibly help them. After some tense moments with the station commander Liam Shaw, Sisko and the others begin working on the drive.
At the same time, T’Lir tries to find a way to apologize to Lily but is unaware of her working with Section 31. After completing the refit of the ship, the Theseus heads to the barrier and after entering it, they find a strange set of material locations before receiving a dark warning that could spell their end.
The Story: Kelly and Lanzing continue to create a wonderful story in this series and this arc does a fantastic job of building on the ones before while offering new and interesting things to discover. The drama between the characters and their internal struggles continues to be handled well and the lead up and introduction to familiar faces feels more organic than forced which I appreciate.
The Art: Levens delivers brilliant art throughout the issue. I love the visual style a lot and the barrier sequence is visually stunning.
