The Rundown: T’Lir reveals the truth and asks for help from the crew of the Theseus.
T’Lir calls for a meeting of the senior staff of the Theseus and tells them the truth of who he is and where he really comes from. A location familiar to Scotty from his time on the Enterprise. He also asks for help from Sisko to protect his people in the wake of the Day of Blood and the destruction of several gods.
Beyond dealing with her mixed feelings of betrayal, Sato receives a strange visitor with an interesting offer. At the same time, Sisko deals with the prophets calling for him to return and Beverly deals with the reality of her return and how it might be connected to her son Wesley.
The Story: Jackson and Lanzing continue to peel the layers of an interesting narrative onion with this issue. I continue to love the call backs to other stories and the composition of this crew allows for a great opportunity to explore the history of Star Trek. The story creates another interesting arc for the characters, especially Sisko. I also really enjoyed the final moments of the issue and what it means for Sato and her relationship with the rest of the crew.
The Art: Levens delivers some fantastic art throughout the issue. The visual style is perfect for the Star Trek universe and I love the detailed character designs.
