The Rundown: Spider-Woman and Lindsay team up to survive a dangerous situation.
Spider-Woman wakes up to a surprising and harrowing state of affairs. Afterwards, Rebecca gives her a review of the preceding events. Meanwhile, Lindsay has a confrontation Rose’s security team. Soon, she is aided by Spider-Woman. The two then gather Gerry and reconnect with Lindsay as they travel to a safe location. During their travel, Lindsay details her history and that of her parents. Lindsay then shares her own current plans. Finally, Spider-Woman and Lindsay make an interesting decision.
The Story: Once again, Pacheco does an amazing job blending humor with action and heartbreaking content. I am impressed with the story telling in this issue. Lindsay’s back story is heartbreaking and I really like the way this is shown in a manner that deeply connects the reader to the character. I am interested in the way that this plot line is developing. Especially in regards to the dynamics between Jessica and Lindsay. I eagerly await the next chapter in this saga.
The Art: The illustrations here are extremely detailed and heavily feature character expression and form. This issue is filled with exciting action and moments that are deeply emotional. Kudos to Perez and D’Armata for their ability to visually translate both these expressions in a cohesive and visually appealing manner.
