The Rundown: While Peter tries to determine what to do with the strange spider tech he’s found, the other Spiders make a last stand against Shathra.
With no one left to oppose her, Shathra begins her plans to remake the spider-verse stretching her power throughout the multiverse. At the same time, Peter Parker continues to call Silk for help with the strange spider tech he’s discovered.
When Shathra’s powers emerge on Earth 616, the remaining spiders and Madame Web try one last desperate plan to get to Shathra and end her threat once and for all. A plan that will reveal something no one expected while Miles goes looking for reinforcements.
The Story: Slott continues to up the tension in this issue. There is some great action as well as great revelations within the story. I like the Silk/Peter dynamic and how it is playing out in the story. Slott takes the reader to the brink before making a revelation that changes everything about the story we’ve been reading so far and drops some great teases of what could be coming next.
The Art: Bagley has always been one of my favorite Spider-Man artists and the visuals in this issue are a testament to that. There is great action throughout and the visuals are thrilling and engaging.
