The Rundown: The crew of the Bush continue to find ways to not do their jobs.
The Captain gets a call from the Admiral telling him that the Bush will have to drop off its cargo and head into a possible war zone. A proposition the Captain has no interest in pursuing given the circumstances that put him in the chair in the first place.
While the Captain does everything he can to avoid being sent into battle, the rest of the crew deals with their own issues. From a failing marriage to the revelation of an alien infestation, the crew of the Bush find themselves dealing with some dark issues in the most inept of ways.
The Story: Goodman continues to ramp up the tension while also ramping up the humor. I enjoy getting to know more about these characters and the unusual circumstances that have brought them together. I really enjoyed the moments of revelation in the plot and was amused by the lengths the Captain is taking to get out of any responsibility. It’s going to be interesting to see where this story goes next.
The Art: Sarraseca delivers great art throughout the issue. I love the visual style of the story and how the art captures the visual humor throughout.
