The Rundown: While Jace deals with the fallout of his actions, Moltar begins a deadly plan that could destroy Space Ghost.
It’s been weeks since Jace had a near deadly encounter with Zoltar and the young man is not taking things well. After quitting the team, he sits back while his sister and Space Ghost continue to battle evil threats as a new one emerges in the form of Moltar.
As Moltar continues attacking and learning more about Space Ghost, he uses his scientific abilities to create something that can kill the hero. Something Jace’s own genius will have to find a way to neutralize to save his new family.
The Story: Pepose continues to craft some beautifully engaging and entertaining comic adventures. I enjoyed this story on several levels as Pepose shows the humanity of Space Ghost as he deals with the reality of what happened to his charges. It shows Jace in a new light as he deals with the weight of being a hero and what it entails. The villain was great and I loved seeing both Moltar’s backstory and his evolution into a credible threat. A fun, exciting and thrilling story from start to finish.
The Art: Lau crafts some beautifully detailed and visually thrilling art throughout the issue. The action is awesome and the visual style perfectly captures the threat of Moltar and the heroism of Space Ghost.
