The Rundown: Jan and Jace find themselves facing mounting villains and get some unexpected help.
Space Colony Omicron is under attack by space pirates and the scientist in charge knows what they are after. After securing his children Jan and Jace and their companion Blip, the scientist attempts to wipe all the data from the facility before getting his children away.
Unfortunately, tragedy greets the family head on and the children find themselves alone trying to escape the pirates and some unexpected additional threats. With their backs against the wall, they find themselves being rescued by the mysterious and possibly dangerous entity known as Space Ghost.
The Story: Pepose delivers a solid premiere issue that handles the introduction of the characters perfectly by giving their interactions a larger purpose that got my attention. I grew up as a fan of the campy animated series and this story gives it a gritty edge that adds layers to the story that I want to see explored. An incredibly fun and solid adventure. There is some great action throughout the story and it builds to a fantastic cliffhanger that makes me want to see what happens next.
The Art: Lau delivers beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. The visuals beautifully capture the action and tension of the story.
