Deadpool director Tim Miller is executive producing the film based on the Sega video game property and now it has an official release date.

Sonic the Hedgehog was introduced in 1991 as an answer to Nintendo’s popular Mario character. The character has sold over 300 million games over the years and now a feature film is coming as well.

Sonic will be directed by Jeff Fowler, who is making his feature film debut with a film that will be a mix of live action and CGI characters. The film will be written by Pat Casey and Josh Miller.

Paramount has announced that Sonic will be released in theaters November 15, 2019.
