The Rundown: Two girls discover an injured Erica and try to help her.

Two young girls find themselves running from their babysitter after pulling a prank. Their attempt to hide will bring them face to face with an injured and unconscious Erica. After discovering her, they see the array of items around her and try to determine what happened to her.

When Erica’s supernatural familiar begins to speak to the girls, it tells them exactly who they are dealing with and why they need to help her.

The Story: James Tynion IV crafts an interesting interlude in this story that adds more color and layers to Erica and her world. The story has a great tone and energy to it despite the lack of action or overt thrills. It serves as a great way of showing the character in a different way and I am enjoying these small adventures Erica is taking and how they show the reader more about her and the dangers she faces.

The Art: Dell’Edera delivers some beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. The visuals are beautifully done and capture the tone of the story perfectly.
