The Rundown: Erica looks for a way out of trouble as a bigger threat gets closer.
With few resources and even fewer friends, Erica gives one a call to help her get out of the sheriff’s office. At the same time, she has him look up the monster she is hunting. One that is more dangerous than anything she has faced before, especially alone.
After talking with the sheriff, the two come to an understanding and Erica even offers to help if she can. Help that is desperately needed as the sheriff is encouraged to change his approach. Meanwhile, Cecilia picks up someone from the airport. Someone with a short fuse and a mission to kill Erica Slaughter.
The Story: The issue is good for the most part. The story does a good job of showcasing the network Erica has at her disposal and how small it actually is. Erica’s story lacked a lot of the humor and attitude that makes her engaging. The second part of the story makes up for it and was more compelling than Erica having conversations with side characters.
The Art: Dell’edera delivers some great art that complements the character focused story really well. The composition of the final few pages really stand out.
