The Rundown: The Order has come to the town to end this business once and for all and they won’t let anyone get in their way.
The Order has invaded the town and they seem to care what happens to the people in it or to their own colleagues are they lure out monsters to kill. With one down, they decide to turn their attention to the town’s survivors huddled in the school gym being protected by the sheriff. When they refuse to let the members of the Order in, they take matters into their own hands and gather the people of the town together for a dark purpose.
At the same time, Erica is dealing with Cecilia and her attack on John to claim the children touched by the event. Unfortunately, John doesn’t go down easily and that gives Erica a chance to escape with the children. With time running out and the Order’s dark plans about to begin, Erica must finish this fight once and for all in order to save everyone that she can.
The Story: A great continuation of the story from James Tynion IV. The plot was intense and so was the dialogue. There was such a dark tone to this issue and it is reflected in the characters and their interactions. The Order doesn’t shrink away from violence to fit its own ends and it is interesting to see how Erica fights against that both internally and physically. A great story that ends with a great cliffhanger.
The Art: Werther Dell’edera delivers some powerful, moving and brutal artwork throughout this issue. The art perfectly matches the tone of the plot and its characters. A great looking issue from start to finish.
