The Rundown: A new Epic finds herself taking on a difficult and dangerous case.
A woman named Noa finds herself dealing with the reality of life as a private detective in a world filled with living imaginary creatures. After finding out that she owes a lot of money to the government and is about to be evicted from her office, Noa decides to take an unusual case from an imaginary duck detective representing the powerful leader of the council of the imagination.
The new partners make their way to a rehab center for imaginary creatures and discover the victim, Sherlock Holmes. After speaking to the people closest to him, one of them surreptitiously meets with another Epic.
The Story: I love the direction this new arc is taking and Kudranski draws in the reader with an intense and intriguing story filled with great mystery and characters. I love the nods to other genres and how the character of Noa is so different and unique. I love the mystery unfolding at the heart of this story and look forward to seeing where it goes.
The Art: Kudranski delivers beautifully detailed and visually vibrant art throughout the issue. The imagery is electric and filled with moments that immersed me in the world of this story.
