The Rundown: Noa and D pay a visit to another god to get answers regarding the murder of Zeus.
With the god of Olympus seemingly dead and consumed by a Titan, Noa and her cartoon duck partner D attempt to get answers from a being who would know who could wield the power of Zeus’ lightning in his absence. Their investigation leads them to Asgard and an encounter with a sea serpent that is dispatched by their host Thor.
After a brief interrogation, Noa is satisfied that the god of thunder is innocent. A dark encounter gives her and her partner a welcome clue as to their next suspect and their trip to Egypt uncovers a dangerous suspect who has Noa in its sights.
The Story: Kudranski continues to craft an engaging and compelling mystery in this issue. One that beautifully challenges the history of belief and the power imagination contains. I continue to be immersed in this story and the bigger mystery being woven within it. There isn’t a lot of action in the story per se, but the issue is brilliantly atmospheric.
The Art: Kudranski delivers beautiful art throughout the issue. I love the visual style of this series and how it creates wonderful visual moments with its contrasting characters.
