Deron GenerallyJ.D. Dillard, writer/director of the supernatural thriller Sleight, has been tapped to travel to a galaxy far, far away.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, J.D. Dillard has been tapped by Lucasfilm to develop a new film in the Star Wars universe. Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD and Luke Cage writer Matt Owens has been tapped to write the new film. Unfortunately, no one knows whether this new Star Wars film will be part of a theatrical release or if it will premiere on Disney Plus.
Dillard’s next projects include an episode of the Stephen King HBO series The Outsider as well as the Amazon series Utopia. Matt Owens next project is a live action adaptation of the manga One Piece.
