The writers and producers of the hit BBC series Sherlock are getting ready to bring another literary classic to life.
Variety and Deadline are reporting that the BBC is in talks with Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat to write a new series based on the Bram Stoker classic Dracula. Gatiss and Moffat Co-Created Sherlock and Gatiss plays Mycroft Holmes on the series. Moffat is familiar to fans as the former Showrunner and writer for the revival of the long running series Doctor Who.
According to the reports, Dracula will follow the same format as Sherlock. It will be a miniseries featuring feature-length episodes.
There is currently no news of either casting or premise as both Moffat and Gatiss are in the midst of solo projects, but Hartswood Films is confidant enough in the project to begin shopping it to the BBC.
