Another production is gearing up to get back to filming this month.
According to Deadline, the Marvel Studios feature Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is prepping to return to production by the end of this month. Sources in Sydney, Australia where the movie is being filmed are stating that Marvel and Disney are taking “careful steps” to safely bring back the cast and crew to complete the film. The cast and crew will be quarantined upon arrival back in the country and other precautions that have not been revealed.
Shang-Chi stars Simu Liu, Awkwafina and Tony Leung. Kevin Feige is producing the film alongside Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, and Jonathan Schwartz as executive producers. Director Destin Daniel Cretton has already consulted a doctor and his tests results came back negative.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is scheduled to be released May 7, 2021. There is no word yet on whether the film will make that deadline or be pushed back to later in the year.
