The Rundown: The Great Evil has arisen and Eva makes a choice about the future.
Caspar is gone and Eva is in pain. As she looks over her son, she remembers her life with the order, his birth and the revelation of the secret that she carried for so long. A secret that she and Sigurd did everything that they could to protect and allow to become whoever he wanted. Unfortunately, they failed to prepare him for what he was to become and the world might pay the price.
Amon and the creature inside him have decided to take their place in the world with Canto by his side. As they leave to wreak havoc on the world, Eva gathers her remaining followers to launch a bold plan. One that will bring them back to their world and enlist the help of their friend. One that will reveal even more secrets as they attempt the impossible with the fate of the world in the balance.
The Story: Taylor crafts a thrilling, exciting and emotional journey in this issue. Telling the story from Eva’s perspective gives a great insight into her as a character and the emotional journey that she has been on with both her duty to the Order and her son. There are some great moments throughout the issue and I love the reveals that bring the story to its exciting and tense cliffhanger.
The Art: Di Nicuolo delivers some beautifully detailed and stylish art. The action is beautifully intense and the visual style of the story is engaging.
