Comedian Seth Rogen’s Point Grey Pictures is teaming up with Nickelodeon Animation for a new CG animated adventure of the heroes in a half shell.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rogen has brought on Connected co-director Jeff Rowe to direct the film from a script by Neighbors writer Brendan O’Brien. The turtles will also be revived with a 2D series Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on Netflix. Paramount Pictures will distribute the upcoming film.
Brian Robbins, president, Kids & Family Entertainment at ViacomCBS released a statement saying; “I’m looking forward to see what they [Roger and partners Evan Goldberg and James Weaver] do, and I know that Ramsey Naito and her team are excited to take the Nick Animation Studio into another great direction with their first-ever CG-animated theatrical.”
