The Rundown: Alicia and Watters run for their lives as the asylum succumbs to demonic forces.
More of Alicia’s dark past is revealed including her tumultuous relationship with her late father as she and Dr. Waters find themselves fighting against a horde of possessed patients in an attempt to escape the asylum. At the same time, Temple is reunited with his dead daughter and finds that his bargain comes at a deadly cost.
As Alicia fights to escape, she is captured and taken to a room to complete the ritual that will free the other demons back into the world. A ritual that will reveal a dark secret that will change everything about the young woman’s life and purpose.
The Story: Clay McLeod Chapman brings this story to an interesting and compelling conclusion. There are some brilliantly engaging and dark moments throughout the story and all of the story elements that have been building throughout this series pay off in this conclusion. I also really like how the finale of this story leaves the door open for a return to this world and its characters.
The Art: Leonardo Marcello Grassi delivers fantastic art throughout the issue. I love the style of this issue and how beautifully detailed the horror elements are.
