In a move that stunned fans of the upcoming Doctor Strange sequel, writer/director Scott Derrickson has stepped down from the directors chair.
The director took to Twitter to announce that he and Marvel have “mutually agreed to part ways on Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness.” According to the tweet it was due to “creative differences”. The Sinister director will remain on the project as executive producer.

Marvel has confirmed the departure with a statement to Variety saying; “Marvel Studios and Scott Derrickson have amicably parted ways on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness due to creative differences,” Marvel added, “We remain grateful to Scott for his contributions to the MCU.”
Production on Multiverse of Madness is expected to begin in May with a new director at the helm and the search is reportedly on. Let me know what you think in the comments below.
