The Rundown: Wanda traverses the land of the dead, while Pietro and Darcy attempt to stop more people from being sent there.
Wanda’s physical body is destroyed, but the land of the dead brings her spirit to a grove where she is confronted by a creature with a connection to the threat she faces in Lotkill. As she is given a choice of returning to the fight, Wanda embraces her power and traverses the land which will bring her face to face with a powerful foe.
In Lotkill, Darcy and Pietro defend the people of the town while trying to keep their enemy busy. As Pietro works to disrupt the towers that have descended on the land, Darcy brings in some big guns with a connection to both siblings.
The Story: Orlando continues to create a fantastic story for Wanda in this issue. I like the action as well as the evolution of Wanda’s story in this arc. There are some great thrills throughout the story as well as wonderful moments with Pietro and Darcy. A consistently fun and thrilling adventure that is filled with great twists for all the characters.
The Art: Camagni delivers some great art in the issue. I love the visual styles of the worlds the characters inhabit. There is wonderful visual variation that is immersive.
