The Rundown: Kulan Gath offers Brother Voodoo a chance to witness the scope of his plan and Conan’s time in the present puts him in the crosshairs of a familiar face.
Kulan Gath has Brother Voodoo and in order to learn what the time displaced wizard is after, Voodoo will have to travel to the other side. A trip that will bring him face to face with an evil that threatens the world.
At the same time, Elektra is fighting the Hand while dealing with Doctor Strange’s astral form and the missing third eye of Agamotto.
In the jungles of Brazil, Conan has the missing item and his stop at a local bar will find him kidnapped and dropped into the heart of Latveria.
The Story: I found this issue to be incredibly entertaining. The best part of the story was definitely Conan’s, but Brother Voodoo has some interesting and engaging moments as well. Duggan is telling a great story in this series and I love how the characters interact with each other, especially Conan. The story is impressive and it seems to be building to something really interesting. It’s going to be great to see all these characters finally come together.
The Art: Patch Zircher delivers some amazing visuals in this issue. I loved one of the sequences in the beginning of the issue where he contrasts the brutal action of the Elektra fight with the unseen Conan fight in the next sequence. Truly impressive art throughout the issue.
