The Rundown: Conan and other heroes face a formidable threat from the future.
A hunter has come to the city with one target on his mind, Conan the Barbarian. At the same, Conan has infiltrated a meeting of cult members who are preparing to detonate a bomb that will turn everyone into killers and he begins to kill them all. Anti-Venom and Daredevil find themselves investigating the lab the bomb was stolen from as Weapon H and Black Knight encounter each other in the street.
When the hunter attacks and reveals itself to be a Deathlok, the bomb goes off attracting the heroes, including Cloak and Dagger to the scene. As they attempt to defend Conan, their attack opens a portal that transports them to another world. One they do not know, but Conan is very familiar with.
The Story: Pepose delivers an action packed ride that is filled with great characters who I cannot wait to see interact. It’s an intriguing group of heroes who seem mismatched, but could prove to be really interesting to see. The story has some great action beats to it and I love how all of the characters are connected to the events. Having Conan at the center of events is a great touch and I cannot wait to see where this story goes next.
The Art: Magno delivers some beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. The action is beautifully done and the characters look amazing. I love the visual style of this issue a lot.
