Actor Ryan Reynolds is re-teaming with his Free Guy director Shawn Levy for a new adventure film for Skydance.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Deadpool star will reunite with the director for a new time travel adventure produced through Reynolds’ Maximum Effort banner as well as David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger from Skydance.
The currently untitled project will have Reynolds play a man who must travel back in time to get help from his thirteen year old self and encounter their late father, who is now the same age as Reynolds’ character.
The film is being written by Jonathan Tropper, based on a spec script from T.S. Nowlin titled Our Name is Adam. Tropper is known for writing the film This Is Where I Leave You along with series like Banshee and Warrior.
Levy and Reynolds first collaboration Free Guy is set for release December 11th. Levy is prepping the upcoming release of Stranger Things season 4 and Reynolds has recently signed up to star in a movie adaptation of the classic animated video game Dragon’s Lair.
