The Rundown: Deb’s desire for connection will lead to a dark revelation.
Deb and Robert have decided to go on a date after Deb tells the young man that she and her mother are about to leave town again. Robert finds himself seeing dark and disturbing visions as he and Deb take a tour of the city. At the same time, they are being watched by someone close to Deb and her mother.
As they race to save their kids, Rita tells Steve the dark truth about who she is and the demon that has connected with her through her ex. A demon that has formed a bond with Deb that she doesn’t know exists and could cause serious destruction if unleashed. A demon that has finally revealed its presence to Deb.
The Story: Things are getting more intense and Adolfo does a fantastic job of keeping the suspense going while also rounding out the characters and making them more compelling in both their actions and motivations. I love the build up of tension throughout the story and the plot creates an interesting world of monsters and mystery that I am eager to keep exploring.
The Art: Braga’s art is incredibly beautiful and brilliantly detailed in both the characters and the gore they witness. The visual style is perfect for the story and works perfectly with the horror and human elements.
