The Rundown: A grieving father and son find their lives upended by a mysterious mother and her supernatural daughter.
Steve has recently lost his wife and he and his son are doing what they can to get by. Their neighbors, the mysterious Rita and her daughter Deb, live downstairs and the noise they make is getting some unwanted attention. What Steve doesn’t realize is that the mother/daughter duo has a dangerous and supernatural secret. One that involves a violent massacre.
As Steve tries to learn more about his new tenants, he believes that Rita looks like someone he and his wife used to know. When Deb and Steve’s son Rob decide to go out as teenagers do, Rita goes into a panic because her daughter has a secret Rita is willing to kill to protect.
The Story: Andolfo crafts an interesting and exciting new story with a great mystery and characters that I instantly connected with. The plot is filled with mayhem, murder and mystery throughout and I loved the tension between the characters. The story is incredibly engaging and I cannot wait to see where the story goes and what reveals come next.
The Art: Braga delivers some beautifully detailed and interesting art on every page of this issue. The visuals are engaging and I love the character designs a lot.
