The Rundown: Psylocke discovers that she is being stalked when someone comes for the man she cares for.
Psylocke returns to the factory to find a bloody message left behind for her. A bloody message connected to John Greycrow along with mutated butterflies set to attack her. After fighting them off, Kwannon heads to Greycrow’s home and finds him missing. Using her skills, she manages to find him and the pair fight off more enemies before Psylocke decides to pay a visit to the man she believes responsible for the attack, Shinobi Shaw.
After a tense standoff, Shaw reveals that he isn’t responsible, but he knows who is. Someone from his past with an interesting mutation and set of hobbies. Someone who has gone to a lot of trouble to meet Psylocke. Someone who is waiting for her to come and see him.
The Story: Wong crafts a thrilling, entertaining story in this issue. I continue to love the personal struggle Kwannon is dealing with as she tries to find balance in her life and there are some great moments of that in this issue. The action is lively and the pace of the story had me riveted and engaged with every moment. I like the dark humor in the story as well and the final moments of the issue have me excited to see what happens next.
The Art: Carratu beautifully captures the characters and action throughout the issue. The visuals are stunning and the action captured my eyes with every moment.
