The Rundown: Will Profane needs to track down the man who killed his creator before his story comes to an end.

Profane finds himself in an interrogation room with Detective Lopez and discovers that not only does she know what he is, but that this isn’t the first time a fictional character has escaped into the real world. After proving his identity, she gives him one chance to solve the mystery of his creator’s murder and find the writer his nemesis kidnapped to complete his story.

After tracking down the writer using his powers and the clues at hand, he confronts his nemesis Red Hand and discovers how he came into the real world. A discovery that will lead to murder, a confession and the final piece of the puzzle being revealed before Profane must decide whether to leave the woman he’s fallen for and return to his world one last time.

The Story: Milligan brings this story an entertaining and compelling end with some great detective noir elements and an interesting twist that was surprising and satisfying. I really love the atmosphere created in this issue and how engaging the characters are. I like the reveals in the story and what they could mean for this world. Everything comes together with a great twist ending that not only wraps up some great things for the character, but also teases a possible return.

The Art: Fernandez delivers beautiful art throughout the issue. The visuals are beautifully done and I loved the character designs a lot.
