The Rundown: Fictional detective Will Profane investigates the real world murder of his creator.
After discovering that he is the fictional character in a series of books written by Spud Coltrane, Will Profane decides to solve the mystery of his creator by finding the manuscript that contains his latest adventure. A manuscript that will require him to do something desperate, travel to the real world.
After finding the biggest fan of his character, Will finds himself in the real world tracking down his creator’s biggest rival. After breaking into the man’s home and confronting him, Will Profane will find this case taking some big twists and turns.
The Story: Milligan continues to craft an intriguingly complicated story in this series. I really love the noir style of this story and the characters within it. There is a fantastic vibe to this story and the characters are compelling and interesting throughout. I really enjoy the world being built in this series and look forward to seeing what twists and turns the story takes.
The Art: Fernandez delivers fantastic art throughout the issue. The imagery beautifully captures the noir style and sensibility of the story.
