Deron GenerallyFox’s The Gifted had an amazing and successful first season and a second season and when a second season was announced, fans got the opportunity to rejoice in having their favorite mutants return for a new season.
The Gifted will be returning to San Diego Comic Con this year with a panel at 2pm on Saturday of the convention in Ballroom 20. The panel is expected to feature executive producers Matt Nix and Jeph Loeb and stars Stephen Moyer, Sean Teale, Jamie Chung, Emma Dumont, Blair Redford, Natalie Alyn Lind and Skyler Samuels.
According to a description of the second season;
“The 20th Century Fox Television/Marvel series picks up after the explosion of the Atlanta Station. The Mutant Underground search for their friends and family who left with The Inner Circle. Having tracked them outside of Washington, D.C., they must contend with new groups with extreme ideologies, both human and mutant alike, to stave off a brewing conflict.”
The second season should see an increase in the conflict between mutants and humans as well as a hinted at team up between the Mutant Underground and the new Inner Circle for the survival of both groups.
