The Rundown: Groups of humans fight to survive in a jungle crawling with Predators.
The jungle erupts with gunfire as a group of humans fight for survival. As they run for their lives being attacked by Predators, another group finds itself in similar circumstances. With bodies piling up, the surviving strangers make their way to a cave where they discover something unexpected about each of them as they share stories.
After deciding to go looking for food, they see a series of crates dropping from the sky. Thinking it might be food, they investigate only to discover they are not the only things being sent to the jungle to be hunted. As they begin another battle, a familiar face arrives offering a chance at survival.
The Story: Brisson crafts an awesome, thrilling and bloody adventure for a new set of characters and the Predators hunting them. The premise is definitely familiar to anyone who knows the franchise, but the story is entertaining and engaging because of the characters within it. There is some great tension throughout the issue and everything comes to a head when a familiar face arrives that makes me excited to read the next issue.
The Art: Diaz delivers some fantastic art in the issue. I love the look of this issue and the environments being created within it. The Predators are sufficiently menacing and I love the look of the different characters.
