Pine & Merrimac’s missing person case takes a dark and dangerous turn when they decide to infiltrate the island the biker gang told them about. After dealing with the aftermath of another satisfied customer of their detective agency, some clues they gathered lead them to seek out an old friend.
After making their way to the island, they immediately discover that there is something dark and sinister happening. Something that connects not only to the town’s history, but also to an up and coming presidential hopeful that powerful people will kill to elevate.
The Story: I continue to love the concept of this series and the two characters are fantastic. I love the growing mystery at the heart of the story and how it continues to grow and evolve. There is some great suspense throughout the story and I love the mixture of both humor and drama in the story.
The Art: Galan delivers great art and the visual style of the story is perfect for both the characters and the tone of the story.
