The Rundown: While Birdie and Dom continue their mission to deliver the artifact, Agent Weaver is brought in to answer questions.
Dom and Birdie continue their journey to get rid of the artifact in the back of his rig and the pair learn more about each other. When Birdie convinces Dom to get some sleep before their next stop, she proceeds to enter the back of the rig and destroy the object. An act that will bring them both face to face with more danger.
At the same time, Agent Weaver remembers her time in the other world before waking up tied to a chair and confronted by someone who want to know what she knows. After convincing him that she doesn’t know anything, she manages to escape to find something interesting waiting for her.
The Story: Lemire continues to craft an engaging story with interesting and entertaining characters with secrets that I want to see uncovered. Both parts of the story have great emotional weight and I enjoyed the rise in the action and tension of the story. There are some great moments throughout the issue and the issue ends with a terrorizing moment that makes me want more.
The Art: Gabriel H. Walta delivers some fantastic art in the issue. The visuals are thrilling and filled with great details and imagery.
