Deron GenerallyAnt-Man and The Wasp star Paul Rudd is in final negotiations to take a lead role in another franchise.
According to reports in Deadline and Variety, Rudd is in negotiations to star in Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters film. The new film will center on a single mother and her two children dealing with the supernatural in their small town. Carrie Coon (The Leftovers), Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) and Mckenna Grace (Captain Marvel) are in talks to play the mother and her two children.
Rudd is in talks to play a teacher in the small town.
The new Ghostbusters film is written by Reitman and Gil Kenan (Monster House). Cameras are expected to roll soon with an anticipated release next summer.
