The Rundown: Discovering the truth of Loo’s past will open the doors to a dangerous new entity at the Gardens.
The truth about Loo’s past is revealed and her tragic story leads to a dangerous choice that will bring her to the Gardens. As she awakens in restraints, no one knows that Zerc is working on something of his own. Something that will require getting Loo off the property and into the hands of a dangerous cult.
As Loo finds herself distracted and the Gardens continues to wither and die, the cult decides to make their next move which seemingly includes a full scale invasion of the property.
The Story: Way and Simon continue to create an engaging, thought provoking and weirdly compelling world in this issue. I like the unpredictability of events and how every reveal leads to more intrigue and mystery. The world of this story is sublimely strange and every moment within it has something to intrigue and provoke in the reader. I continue to find myself interested in learning more about this world and the strange entities that reside within it.
The Art: Weston delivers some beautifully detailed and visually immersive art throughout the issue. I love the visual style of this series and how unique and interesting all of the characters look.
