The Rundown: A young woman named Loo finds herself working in a strange retirement home filled with secrets.
Loo is an orderly in a strange institution known as Paradise Gardens. As she cares for some strange and unusual residents, she also deals with her own lack of memory of her past and the strange visions she is having that could be linked to it.
As Loo navigates the strange circumstances of her memory and what it could mean, there is a new admittance to the home. Someone with strange powers who seems to know who Loo is.
The Story: Way and Simon craft a weird, strange and incredibly interesting world in this first issue. There are a lot of interesting characters throughout and mysteries that I am interested in exploring. Every moment in the issue leads to some strange and intriguing reveals that continue to engage me as a reader. I am definitely looking forward to seeing what twists this story takes.
The Art: Weston delivers some great art throughout the issue. The characters look delightfully bizarre and the world is visually engaging.
