The Rundown: Kate gets an invitation from an old enemy to show off a new development.
Kate gets an invitation from Nocturna and proceeds to bring Luke and Drummer with her to a meeting among a party of dangerous monsters. While Kate deals with the vampire who tried to turn her, Luke finds himself rescuing a young woman who is being held in the building.
As Luke finds himself facing a dark reveal, Kate is shown a dark vision of the future. Drummer takes the opportunity to get some intel that she needs from a demon who wants something in return.
The Story: Lanzing and Kelly continue to craft some great comic stories and this issue is no different. The writers create some interesting moments for each character and expand the story in ways that immediately grabbed and held my attention. The surprises in the story are great additions and I continue to love the complicated nature of Drummer in this issue.
The Art: Carey delivers some fantastic art in the issue. The dark motif of the story is brilliantly designed and perfectly captures the dark tone of the story.
