The Rundown: The Outsiders go searching for an undersea mystery.
Kate tells the team of an undersea mystery she experienced as a child and how the area of the ocean it happened in remains a mystery to this day. Luke decides to check out the area and discovers that there is already an investigation being run by the new Challengers of the Unknown.
As both teams verbally spar with each other over the location, Luke decides to descend to see what is going on. Pursued by the rival team, the Outsiders find themselves in a fight that will reveal a dark secret at the bottom of the ocean and its connection to a familiar face.
The Story: Lanzing and Kelly craft an entertaining story filled with great action and thrills. I love the tension between the characters and the dialogue a lot. There’s an interesting story at the center of this issue and I continue to be impressed by and intrigued with the concept and the characters.
The Art: Carey delivers beautiful art throughout the issue. The visuals are thrilling and offer some awesome imagery.
