The original voice actors from the critically acclaimed Batman: The Animated Series are returning for a new project from original series scribe Alan Burnett.
During Los Angeles Comic-Con History of the Batman panel last Saturday, actors Kevin Conroy (Batman) and John Glover (Riddler) revealed that they are working on a new project with Burnett. An audio drama that will continue the Emmy winning animated series adventures.
Conroy said of the project; “It’s a great script by Alan Burnett and it brings back the original cast.” Glover chimed in as well on the project stating; “The Riddler’s back, and he’s evolved in many ways … He understands he’s on the spectrum.” According to sources, the audio series could also feature the return of Paul Williams (The Penguin), Richard Moll (Two-Face), David Warner (Ra’s Al Ghul), Diane Pershing (Poison Ivy), Adrienne Barbeau (Catwoman), Ron Perlman (Clayface), Melissa Gilbert (Barbara Gordon) and Loren Lester (Dick Grayson / Nightwing).
While there is no reported distribution format for the audio drama as of this story, Conroy did confirm that Batman composer Danny Elfman will write the theme to the upcoming drama.
