The Rundown: The Fantastic Four attempt to expose Doom to the world as he prepares for the next part of his plan.

Doom prepares for the next part of his global takeover as public sentiment towards his actions continues to grow. At the same time, the Fantastic Four continue to do what they do to protect people while Valeria pays a visit to her godfather to learn what he really wants. He decides to tell her the truth, but her apprehension only serves to spur him to show her his vision rather than tell her.
When the team decides that they need to expose Doom to the world at his next speech at the United Nations, they fight their way into the building only to discover that the people there to defend Doom are there by choice. Doom decides to give one of the FF a gift that gives him more credibility with the public while the leader of the Avengers decides to bring in some unusual help in the fight against Doom.
The Story: I continue to be impressed with several of the moments within this issue, but there are many that were so predictable that they took me out of the story emotionally. What annoys me the most about this storyline is that the characters who are the so-called heroes seem to have collectively become dumber from one moment to the next. They are sitting around hatching schemes and planning attacks with no idea what they are facing or even a sense of why and that is just poor plotting in my opinion. The final scene in this issue literally made me roll my eyes with how stupid it seems.
The Art: Silva delivers solid, beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. I love the visual style of the moments between Valeria and Doom.
