Official Trailer and Premiere Date for Season Two of 'The Crown'

All hail the Queen as the second season of the hit Netflix series The Crown prepares to take viewers back into the world of the Monarchy for its second season.

Netflix released a new trailer for the series starring Claire Foy and Matt Smith and this season looks to ramp up the drama as Elizabeth (Foy) tries her best to hold onto her fragile reign in a changing world. Prince Philip (Smith) continues to be untamed even as events surrounding him spiral out of control. The Queen’s sister Princess Margaret (Vanessa Kirby) gets marries to bohemian photographer Tony Armstrong-Jones and The Queen Mother (Victoria Hamilton) struggles to find her place in the new order.

The monarchy itself is besieged on all sides by scandals involving an illegal war in Egypt, the predilections of the Prime Minister and a public that is embracing the new world of the 1960’s while the crown continues to live in the post war past. All of this will be amazing drama to behold when the series returns to Netflix next month.

The Crown returns for its second season on Netflix December 8th.
