The Rundown: After battling an old enemy, Nightwing and Flash track down the notorious assassin La Agente Funebre.

Nightwing and Flash battle KGBeast and his crew. Next, Flash heads to Gotham while Nightwing gathers valuable intel. Later, at Wally’s home, he has a discussion with Dick and Barbara regarding an unexpected threat. Soon, Nightwing and Flash travel to Costa Rica for an investigation where they quickly find themselves in a deadly confrontation with a group of assassins Then, a dangerous new enemy engages Nightwing in battle. Afterwards, Nightwing uses a surprising discovery to his advantage. Finally, a meeting with Lady Shiva forces Blockbuster’s hand.
The Story: I loved this continuation of the team-up between Nightwing and the Flash. Not only was there a combination of heartwarming brotherhood and intense action, the reader is also treated to a glimpse into Dick Grayson’s critical thinking ability. I also appreciate how this run leans heavily into Nightwing’s family relationships and friendships in a way that is both natural and relatable. I thought this was a well-crafted chapter and I am excited to find out what is next in store for this member of the Bat Family.
The Art: This is an action heavy issue that is filled with colorful, detailed panels that are both visually appealing and engaging. I also found that the attention to character detail and scenery creates an immersive environment that is matches the tone of the story.
