The Rundown: Nightwing deals with the repercussions of a previous injury while battling two deadly foes.
A powerful politician meets with a notorious gangster and his crew. Meanwhile, Nightwing and Robin have a heated confrontation with Heartless. When innocent bystanders become involved, the heroes must find a way to protect them. In the midst of the conflict, Nightwing suffers a health issue. Later, Nightwing and Robin reunite with Oracle. The trio then discuss the affairs of Bludhaven. Afterwards, Nightwing seeks out a formidable enemy. During the encounter, something shocking is revealed.
The Story: Tom Taylor has crafted a mind-blowing chapter filled with action, danger, and unexpected encounters. The stakes in this episode feel very real, and I was completely invested in all the happenings. Fortunately, there are a few moments of levity. And eagle-eyed fans will find a character wearing a t-shirt with a fun meme. Lastly, I must give readers a warning. This fast paced story-line has an ending that will definitely leave the fandom talking and Tweeting afterwards.
The Art: Detailed drawings are set off by a bold color palate. The action scenes are beautifully done and very engrossing. And the tone of the story is perfectly captured, with certain panels that are sure to draw an emotional response.
