We are a month away from the release of Ant-Man and The Wasp in theaters and Marvel Studios has released some new character posters to get us excited for the upcoming film.
Paul Rudd is back as Scott Lang/ Ant-Man in the sequel that finds the hero dealing with the repercussions of joining Captain America’s team during Civil War. When a new threat emerges in the form of Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), Scott must find a way to save the day again, but he won’t be alone.
Evangeline Lilly is Hope Van Dyne/ The Wasp in the film that finds her taking a more active role in the action. Janet has always been ready to stand on her own and she will use her knowledge and skills to take on any threat as well as personal mission to rescue her mother.
Hannah John-Kamen joins the film as the villainous Ghost. A skilled thief, she uses the tech in her suit to sneak in and take what she wants. Not much is known about her motivation or mission in the film, but it has been rumored that she has a personal vendetta against Hank Pym and she steals his tech to enact her revenge.
Michael Douglas returns as former Ant-Man Hank Pym. After the events of Civil War, Hank and his daughter Hope find themselves on the run from people trying to steal Hank’s technology while at the same time, Hank is working tirelessly to find a way to rescue his wife Janet.
Laurence Fishburne joins the cast as Dr. Bill Foster / Goliath. A former colleague and friend of Hank Pym, Bill used to be a costumed hero as well using his biochemistry to develop a way of altering his size and mass. Whether he suits up in the film remains to be seen.
Michelle Pfeiffer joins the cast in the role of former Wasp Janet Van Dyne. After being lost for years, Hank and Hope make it their mission to bring her back. Not much is known about how she will fit into the plot of the film or what the repercussions of her return will have, but it will interesting to find out.
From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes Ant-Man and The Wasp, a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink. In the aftermath of Captain America: Civil War, Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a super hero and a father. As he struggles to rebalance his life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside the Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from the past.
Ant-Man and The Wasp opens in theaters July 6, 2018.
