The dysfunctional family of superheroes is set to return to Netflix this summer.
Netflix has set a release date for the return of The Umbrella Academy to the streaming service. Based on the Dark Horse Comics series, The Umbrella Academy focuses on the adventures of a family of adopted superheroes who struggle with their own personal demons while trying to save the world. The series was written by My Chemical Romance lead singer Gerard Way and illustrated by Gabriel Ba.
The series stars Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, and Justin H. Min are returning for the second season. New cast members including Martin Ireland, Ritu Arya and Yusuf Gatewood are joining the series second season.
The second season of The Umbrella Academy will be released July 31st on Netflix.
