Another revival is almost upon us with Netflix releasing the first images of their upcoming animated series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.
Based on the 80’s series and toy line She-Ra Princess of Power, this new series has a new look from the original series and a new back story for the series heroine. The series follows Adora, an orphan who escapes her life in service to the evil Horde. She finds a magic sword that transforms her into the mtyhical warrior princess She-Ra. She finds a new family with the rebellion and rallies a group of magical princesses to fight with her.
The series will feature the voices of Aimee Carrero (Elena of Avalor), Glimmer voiced by Karen Fukuhara (Suicide Squad), Bow voiced by Marcus Scribner (black-ish), and Catra voiced by AJ Michalka (The Goldbergs). The series also includes the voice talents of Lorraine Toussaint, Lauren Ash, and recent Emmy nominee Sandra Oh.
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is executive produced by Noelle Stevenson, Eisner Award winning writer of Lumberjanes and Nimona as well as Chuck Austen (Steven Universe). It is slated to be released on Netflix November 16th.
