Deron GenerallyStreaming service Netflix has just acquired a new property to distribute to the big screen.
UbiSoft Motion Pictures adaptation of its hit video game Tom Clancy’s The Division has attracted big stars like Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain to star. The Division has also attracted Deadpool 2 and Hobbs & Shaw director David Leitch to direct the film as well with Netflix distributing.
The Division is a third-person shooter game set in dystopian New York City after a smallpox pandemic. The player is an agent of the Strategic Homeland Division, aka The Division, and is searching for the origins of the outbreak.
Gyllenhaal is also producing the project with Ubisoft’s Gerard Guillemot. No release date has been released.
