Portman stars as a member of a special team of scientists sent to investigate the world beyond a mysterious barrier. A world where the laws of physics do not exist and where Portman’s missing husband (Oscar Issac) was last seen. The expedition must travel beyond the barrier and try to determine who or what is lurking beyond.
Based on Jeff VanderMeer’s best-selling Southern Reach Trilogy, Annihilation stars Natalie Portman, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gina Rodriguez, Tessa Thompson, Tuva Novotny and Oscar Isaac. It was written and directed by Alex Garland (Ex Machina, 28 Days Later).
Annihilation will hit theaters February 23, 2018.
