The Rundown: Namor confronts his own past philosophies as war breaks out among the survivors.
In the aftermath of a devastating attack that killed the human survivors beneath the sea, Namor confronts Torch as the machines prepare for war. When the Atlantian forces arrive, Namor confronts Attuma to prevent war and discovers treachery at the heart of the attack.
Namor battles Attuma and an execution by Namorita reveals the truth behind the rising tensions. Tensions sparked by years of Namor’s own philosophy of conquest. Tensions that will lead to a decision from Namor that could create a new world.
The Story: An entertaining character study of Namor that comes to an abrupt conclusion that felt a little clunky and too fast. The confrontation between Namor and Attuma was good, but everything was revealed too quickly and without Namor putting anything together himself. The story also felt like there was no real resolution to the conflict while wrapping everything up in a message of hope that was too sentimental at best.
The Art: Ferry delivers some great art filled with emotion that complements the tone of the story.
